The Cause

General Ignorance

Money is a taboo in Indian society. It is not talked about in families or in public causing a general apathy towards it.

Lack of awareness

People are unaware of the schemes and resources they have at their disposal, due to the gap between the government and lower stratas of society, causing them to unnecessarily suffer.

Societal Norms

Women are not encouraged to be financially independent as it is seen as the ‘breaking of a family’. People should encourage the females to be more aware to bridge this divide.

Wealth Accumulation

To grow our money over time and beat inflation we need to understand the basics of how to handle it from a young age. This will also help us to achieve our long term goals.

The Cause

Only 27% of Indians areFinancially literate

This sad reality gives way to problems such as debt traps, discrimination due to socio-economic and gender disparities, and rampant cyber fraud. We believe that people are skilled enough to earn money, but are not experienced enough when it comes to saving and investing.

We at Wise₹ believe that it is everyone’s right to be financially literate.
